Hm connect a MCU to Latch / IRQ Line with a SPI DAC But whats the point of having a unsupported homemade soundcard ? even a Covox is better then no support at all :) Maybe a FIFO can be used in two modes, so you can switch beetween Direct DAC and IRQ driven. Disney sound source has a FIFO, to be able to send more than one sample at a time, at a fixed rate, yes. But be able to program the frequency is better of course...

You are working on a sound card ? Having a FIFO that generate an IRQ can be nice, as use a timer IRQ for each sample is soo slow. It make me think about something… This Rainbow card is then nice for a Tandy 1000 EX / HX as there is no DMA.

Mod Master ? Use the /d:xxx for custom DAC @ xxx So /d:220 You need the last release (10) for this and select the Custom DAC Output

We see Clearly that there is a 8 Bit Latch plus a R / 2R DAC Network, so definitively a Covox. Sound Master I/O Port is 330h normally. You can try Mod Master with a Custom DAC @ at 330h 😀
