Around 1994, I encountered this image file... no idea about its origin - perhaps a drivers disk of some graphics card? I've found it again on the modern web, unfortunately destroyed by lossy compression. Anybody has the original version? Filename orchid.jpg File size 45.06 KiB Views 414 views

Re: Windows for Workgroups TCP/IP Disk

Certain versions of Trumpet also supported DHCP. 3.0 still supports only static and BOOTP. I recall some other issues with 3.0, forcing me to downgrade to 2.x. On a side note is there any way to determine what your current IP address is with WFW? There isn't any ipcfg.exe type utility. IPCONFIG.EXE

Re: Windows 2.x Modems?

I'm under impression that there's more interest in Windows 1.x/2.x today, then back in the era. Yes, early Windowses could be seen in some TV shows, as they were naturally more spectacular than pure DOS. But in the real world, Windows didn't exist! All the major PC apps were for DOS: Word Star, Word …

Re: Windows 2.x Modems?

They could as well advertise it as compatible with Windows 1.x, as the Terminal app has been a part of Windows from the very beginning... but... there is some possibility that the bundled software actually includes a version for Windows 2.x. Very unlikely - seriously, hardly anybody cared about …
