Geforce FX5900U. Has early dx compatibility that radeons ansd latter Geforces lack, and uses external molex power so agp power draw not an issue. Excellent image quality and support for fos games, FSAA etc, just drops the ball with dx9.

Nice work. I want to go back and play the full PoR series one day too. Apparently some of the Amiga versions of gold box games have VGA graphics which might improve the experience.

Just be sure to either get a mmx or k5/6+ (socket7) or via c3 (s370) so you can play early speed sensitive dos games. An awe64 with ram expansion is ideal for this build, combined with a Sb Live!, but if you are looking for uniqueness maybe try something else.

I would just cargo a 80mm horizontally across the top of the slot1 cooler, so it is blowing straight down onto the v3. You get more cooling on both that way.

Well here it is getting 85.5fps on UT2003 at 1024x768. https://www.anandtech.com/show/1017/8 It was a good budget card, and is still a good budget card if you want to spend next to nothing and aren't too fussy about highest res/effects/anti-aliasing.
