I guess nvcpl.dll may be NT4/W2K/WXP only and without it the only option would be to directly read the hardware, but I have no idea where to read the temperatures from. Do you have any of NT4/W2K/WXP also installed and if so does nvcpl.dll exist and/or is the temperature reported?

Maybe, does nvcpl.dll exist (I think it will be in C:\Winsows\System\) and contain NvCplGetThermalSettings()? If so then I suspect I could adjust my SIV utility to report both the temperatures. Currently it should report the current clocks, does it?

Exactly what card is it? If it's https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203687478151 then it's simply a USB card with a USB to PS2 adapter and to get the mouse to work you will first need to get USB working then find a USB Mouse Driver.
