So I ordered a presumably 486 computer with this as one of the expansion cards: unknown_card.jpg Looks like it is some sort of MIDI card to me. It is not an Music Quest MXQ-32M as the RCA ports are not spaced properly and the MXQ-32M also doesn't have the ports labeled. Anybody recognize this card …

OTOH the intent of the person destroying the NOS 5153 There's no info if it was NOS or just well preserved one with packaging. Judging from diskette box, it's the latter. Anyway, like I said before, they've smacked mass produced IBM CRT monitor. That stuff is already well preserved by many …

idk if IPA would even attack the original print but you can always just put a piece of tape over it to protect it, assuming it is stamp ink then IPA should remove it completely. the lettering under the stamp should be etched, wouldn't worry about removing that :p

it was painful to watch when he shorted what was obviously just a mains connector by cable colors alone 😦 and yes the multimeter clearly showed 15 ohms even iirc, not a dead short.

yeah, lateny is definitely not the strong suit of those units, I'd expect around 3 frames usually... some do only have 1 frame of delay though

Making a PC/104 to ISA riser, it might work, it's cheaper than buying an old stock one and this one has an ATX power connector :D Much easier than trying to solder one up. yep, removed the tape with the help of my heat gun, but it was really difficult in some places as the top layer of the cardboard had already partly delaminated, also the box got obviously roughed up from shipping too.

Did you get a refund? nnnope. they were like "what you you want!? you got the card didn't you?" but the worst offender was the person I bought a boxed Terratec EWS64 XL from... they used the original box as shipping box, only a bit of plastic wrapping, and tape all over it. ...*sigh* though I think …

I love industrial boards like that 😁 not pointlesss at all, they're awseome... for startes you could just use some pin headers, ribbon cable and an ISA slot, the pinout is 1to1 the same as you can also see on that custom pcb.
