Building a second retro capable PC in a rack case. We're going to throw some wheels on the rack it's in, connect the two PCs via serial, and get some head-to-head and co-op action where we can find it. Might be looking to expand the party cart to four machines for IPX play sometime in the future.

ISA Sound Blaster will definitely give you the best compatibility. You don't even need a 64, 32 or 16. I got Doom E1M2 (Nuclear Plant) recorded in OPL3 mode on my CT2290 as a test. But it seems there's some noise in the recording - noticeable in the intro. Finally finished a dual sound card setup. AWE32 line out pins internally to the DSXG CDRom input so no need to mess with external cables. AWE32 and DSXG Legacy block are disabled within Windows. I'm doing this with (undocumented) pins on CT2760 JP6 into a YMF724 card with plentiful inputs. SETUPDS can control all these in pure DOS. But it's such a mess to manage both that and Windows mixer settings. Having something dedicated for this task sounds like a sweet deal!
