I love your picture! 😁 Regarding the resolution, maybe you can try using the scaler option from "normal2x" to "normal3x". I'm using "ddraw" also, it is the one that best fits to me rearding screen resolution and aspect ratios. Anyway I did not try playing in vertical, I always play at the TV 😁
