For manual scans I use my Iphone and take pictures then use PaintShop Pro and edit/size them, then import into Acrobat Pro for a .PDF. I have a scanner but it is quicker/easier to just take pictures of the pages. Not the best solution but it works....

If you running pure DOS (6.x/7,x) then you do not need Ifshelp.sys loading, it only gives 32bit access for when in Windows and does not help much in DOS IIRC and if running off a SD card you really do not need SmartDRV as the CF drive is faster than any IDE that may need some caching. Or am I …

Agree ! possibly the end two are bad seeing the damage on the top and end. Might be a simple 5 x 100, 5 x 330 or 5 x 1k or similar array for pull down/pull up. The numbers on back side will tell (if there are any), Would be easy to cut and jump a 1/8 watt across the two pads on the end as a test …

Yeah My guess is a bad cap or two which shorted the Mosfets...... I was just wondering where that is documented for this board to jump those two for the 2.4v, can't find anything.

Yeah but if you have one they do work well and thought it was worth mentioning. I think more of us old timers have AWE32's than AWE64's but could be wrong. Have like 5 plus 3 GoldFinchs for SB16 but only 2 true 64's. Was just an opinion 😀

MHO is In general Intel soc 478 with i865pe is probably the best stable Win98SE platform compared to AMD, the i848 is also good but no dual channel DDR. As far as audio: no need for a SB Live if just playing most DOS and Win 9x games. A good AWE32 is just as good for Win 9x as any AWE64 or better …

Interesting ! I bought two NOS refurbed soc 478 i865pe boards from a different China supplier in Shenzhen for 1/2 what these soc 370 are last year and they worked out just fine. Would buy one of these with AGP but do not need really another soc 370.

The BIOS string # is either 1230 or 1238 (cannot tell) if 1238 indicates a Win Technologies board (AKA: Wintech / Edom / WinTac) but their archives only list MA013/MA014 Opti based 386 board. never mind, is 1230 and cannot find any info yet

Yeah should be a BIOS setting or jumper to disable on board except on some Packard Bells, they defaulted to onboard as primary but did work with a secondary card. Maybe the onboard video is bad ???
