First check your system.ini, it may be corrupted or have something odd in it. If you see "rubbish" in the first lines delete those lines and save, then restart. Some 3rd party drivers not fully installed can cause weird things added to the start of system.ini. https://www.techsupportforum.com/ …

NO do not use alcohol (drying agent, can make it worse). Yes first get rid of the peanuts then put the piece outside (should be your winter down under) or in the bathroom and take a shower it will add humidity to the air and lessen the static.

It is booting ! Just not to a disk. Nice find but bet it be hard to find any documentation unless you can read Japanese.... 3rd picture shows (my interpretation) insert bootable floppy disk and press F1

Nice ! if any of the rails is still intact: have seen some metal replacement ones but hard to search for, but if you have at least one good one you might be able to picture match it close. There may be another way to "mod" the original case to secure the drives too....

You may have better luck moving the board to a diff full ATX case that does have typical mounts instead of those rare/odd plastic sliders. Have a diff but similar and it took months to finally get 3 sets of mounts for the case.....

Hmm the archives have PCA-6143, 6144, 6145, then skips to 6148 and 6149. Maybe that is why they cannot find the manual either. Odd 6145 is dated 2000 but 6148 is 1995....

Yes worth saving ! detritus if I lived closer than 1000+ miles I would take it. If you sell it at the least try to keep the case, motherboard and psu as one unit if you decide to keep the stored parts.
