the only reason there were pop-up lights is because US rules were forbidding the lights that were too low off the ground!

Don't you laugh. I consider that I've beaten the Windows Minesweeper. Played it for hours every day between 1996 and 1998, ended up resolving the big "expert" field (99 mines?) in under 60 seconds. Never played any game since then.

I will be testing soon what I can only call "adapter extravaganza": 1) Full size ide - to notebook size ide adapter; 2) notebook size ide - to sd card adapter 3) sd card - to micro sd adapter 4) micro sd card 😁

Tou may have better luck with IDE-to-Compact flash interface and an appropriate size CF today. Older small HDDs in good nick aren't so easy to find anymore...

In my circles (broke students early-to-mid 90's), we couldn't afford AMDs too. Everybody was running Cyrix on Tomato boards, good times 😁 )

This also can be a 32 GB limit, some of the boards were limited to that. If your hard disk has jumpers for 32GB mode, worth trying that. If this indeed is working, you'll only loose a 1/4 of the drive space which is not that bad. On my W98 machine I'm using a 80 GB drive in 32 GB mode, loosing more …

I've acquired a stash of old 3.5" floppies with "backup" 😁 copies of different 90's software. Among them is OS/2 2.0 - what kind of hardware it's best to be run on? I'd like to test it but don't want to spend time installing on something where it doesn't run properly...
