Yeah I wonder if the 5800 cooler was a quick last minute thing because it sure wasn't very well designed. Of course some of the ATI cards like X850 and X1800 have a really annoying blower cooler too. They have redesigned them to be quieter these days though.

Yup I agree on the speed benefits of 768p. You get a lot more performance from your video card if you stay away from 1080p and higher. I look fondly at the SF Rush 2049 cabinet at a burger joint down the street from me. Voodoo3 in there still putting out perties 12(?) years later. 😁 The CRT died a couple of years ago but a repair dude got it going again.

Rabit doesn't let me download the BIOS from the card. I tired the option open EEPROM and it said it couldn't open it. Thats why I was trying to use atiflash to save the BIOS to file before I edited it, the attempt yesterday looks incomplete though. ATI WinFlash can dump a BIOS. GPU-Z can as well. …

I believe for a long time Nvidia had a massive edge when it came to OpenGL games. It's not a massive edge though.
