No the Vortex cards only support SB, SBPro, and Adlib. And General MIDI + MT-32 emulation if you have a MIDI DB attached. The only cards that support Ensoniq are Ensoniq cards. I've had problems with GeForces. Overclocked AGP success is surely a combination of motherboard, chipset and video card quality. I played a lot of Skynet and Future Shock on DOSBOX 0.73 but it crashed very often. Bethesda's games back then tended to be extremely bug ridden. The patches may make them a little better but I couldn't tell. I did use ISOs of them.

My Voodoo5 stops reliably going into 3D before 90 MHz. 2D is fine but when I start a game it will usually freeze the whole sys. Maybe Voodoo3? But I'm not sure that there is any card that is truly reliable at that speed. This is why the PCI Voodoo3/4/5 cards are sought after.

I'd say that it's plainly obvious that Driver Guide doesn't want to be a good source of drivers as much as they want to get ad revenue. I wonder if they sold out years ago and whoever bought them just wants to try to get money off of the traffic?

Yeah it could be a PCI thing. It's strange that it didn't happen right away though. I'd try moving the cards to different slots. Some PCI cards really do not want to share their IRQ with some other cards. Rather annoying to say the least.

Yup some games simply will not work right with a PCI sound card. PCI cards are really annoying that way. They can also cause instability that isn't immediately apparent.
