eh the DOS extenders bypassed that conventional memory BS pretty well and even essentially cleared up the old need to eek out as much conventional as possible. As long as you didn't have ~300KB of DOS device drivers and TSRs running, you were in the clear. 😳 😁

As I see it, it's time to take the task of managing storage platforms out of the hands of consumers and individual businesses. It's time for everyone to consider cloud-based options seriously. Creepy stuff there IMO. I think I'll stick with DVDR and USB sticks, k thanks!

The Quake 1/2 console will say the name of the OpenGL GPU it's using. Press ~ in the game and see if it's running on the right chip. You're definitely not CPU limited. I think software mode would definitely be faster than the numbers you're getting for 3D accelerated!!
