There is still some weirdness that I got to look at because I tried DOOM II and it crashed (reboots) with sound but worked without. Could be due to the game version. If you want to play DOS Glide games, Voodoo1 is the safest bet, though a Voodoo2 should still work fine most of the time. See here: Voodoo 2 DOS Glide compatibility matrix Voodoo3 is less compatible with early Glide games, so some may not work.

It might be worthwhile to try out a few different versions of 3DFX MiniGL. EDIT - it seems that the latest MiniGL versions are optimized for an Athlon CPU, so something older might work better for you. Installing Windows 95 instead of 98SE might also provide a slight boost on your system.
