I could try putting a new one, but it's a scratch and reads 478 ohms. Same as other working cpus. Edit: you were right, it was broken. I'll definitely solder a new one. After removing it, reads 578 ohms from opposite pin row.

Even if I upped the FSB, it had a 6.5x fixed. Maybe it's the huge scratch on the surface that affects the multiplier? @Ydee, where did you find info on L bridges? Interested 😀

According to the L bridge configuration, it should be desktop Athlon Tbred with Vcore 1.6 and a multiplier of 12.5x. Are you sure this isn't just about misidentifying the CPU? Tried a whole batch of cpus and this is the only one. I guess it's a mobile cpu that needs manual adjustement. I tried with all configurations of DDR - 2100/2700/3200; 1/2/3 sticks. Two different mobos. 😀

Tested an Athlon XP 2800+ Barton core. Installing XP SP3 was a horror, drivers was boring. Cpu score on PCMArk: 2002 - 6111 2005 - 2743 No idea if it is good, but cpu is stable. I have a batch to go. 🙁

Just received a Slot A board, GA-7IXE. USB ports were professionally desoldered and just hanging by one pin with a blob of solder. Boots fine. I'll probably start a new topic with pics and benchmarks, I'm interested to see how it does as it has the AMD chipset.

5 cpus I tested actually work. From a left for dead batch of 20+ it's good. I still hate socket A though, I hate it like Dr. Cox hated Dr. Kelso.

My idea is to connect each pin to a circle, and thus each circle -from small to large- allows it to turno 360°. Like a series from the center to the edge. It'll cost a lot to produce. Imagine a vinyl, each pin has its groove and the interposer above makes connection to it.

Tested to boot some 20+ socket A cpus. They are a pain in the ass, always hard press the heatsink or no beep. Lots of paste on fingers and a lot of wiping. But it was good to kill time.

looks like pinout for keyboard matrix >internal keyboard connects to ALPS chip, (toshiba is keyb controller) and connects to T9934 too. cd4066 is switching between internal/external keyboard. Have you tried changing bus speeds? JP1 & 2 I have a hunch on socket was removed and qfp was soldered on to get 40 mhz cpu on it. Blue resistor is used to deselect the pga socket. I could be wrong. Is cpu getting vcc correctly?
