No idea why, but on a whim I downgraded the BIOS on my K7M from 1013.002 to 1009 (from The Retro Web). I’ve always had better luck with plastic welding than I have gluing. Either by melting the back of the plastic together, or adding molten plastic to use as a filler/bridge.

They will work fine if you can find them, as they are also obsolete. So long as the pin pitch matches (which it does on all the parts listed so far) you should be ok.

8 Pin? Do you mean P8/P9 which are 6-pin each for a total of 12? If you do mean those then the part number is Molex 15-48-0106 but these have been obsolete for aaaages. Molex 26-60-4060 should be a good replacement.

Thanks for that, so you are saying that pin 5 of the PS/2 connector is actually connected to both pins 6 and 4 of the DB9 serial port? Providing both Data Set Ready and Data Terminal Ready signals. I'll have to dig out the machine and try again!
