If you are testing them in circuit then it’s entirely possible (and to be honest, more plausible) that something else is shorting to ground.

Have you tried different driver versions? I remember when testing my Matrox Parhelia PCI-X that it’s Q2 performance was awful. I then changed driver version and it was a drastic improvement.

I think it’s far too new to be of much retro use, and far too “meh” to make a good base for a Windows 7 build. I guess it might be OK for some kind of XP build, but there’s plenty of high end XP kit available for peanuts. The last Phenom build I had I donated to the mother in law to run Win 10 on.

From what I remember the FDISK issue is cosmetic only and is a hang-up from it being a 16-bit application that is limited in its use of 5-digit numbers for capacity. There is an official updated executable for fdisk that resolves the display of capacity problem, but as it’s cosmetic only I doubt …
