Did you try to use VDMSound instead of DosBox? I played successfully Tie Fighter with this program without any corruptions or freezes.

I think it's not good idea to play Blood using DosBox, 'cause it will probably run too slow even on modern system. I don't know how to get sound working in this case cause I use DosBox very rarely. I was able to play HotD demo under Windows XP in compatibility mode so full version should run as well. Actually, it is not DOS game, it is DirectX 5 game.

Do you have Windows XP? If not, then don't read it :) I play Alladin using VDMSound and it runs very smoothly with default configuration. Try it, it should perform better than DosBox. Of course first run setsnd.exe with VDMSound - it will configure your soundcard. Then run the game also using …
