I have very nice PC with VIA Epia 5000 mobo and VIA C3 CPU. Also this board have USB FDD support. If plug in USB floppy drive it's mapped like drive A and also support booting. But It's works VERY slow. Boot with basic MS-DOS 6.22 floppy disk takes about 2 minutes. Floppy drive is 100% good. …

AFAIK, Toshiba has only two external floppy connector type. But now I don't care because I find PA2611U drive for very good price which seems compatible with my laptop.

Update: Newer version of BIOS brings fan to live in Windows and DOS. I can't find floppy drive for my laotop, so I used diskette version of firmware and converted it to ISO. Burn it to CD-RW, booted and flashed like a charm. Now I have laptop with properly working cooling system.
