This shuttle boots now after doing the VID pin mod. Windows 98 seems stable but 3Dmark definitely isn't. It doesnt like to cold boot or restarting. https://valid.x86.fr/h6wuvr

Unimpressive result ... My Quadro FX1100 was somewhat faster (I started with a Northwood 2.8/533 to install and get a baseline) but system crashed, and haven't been able to boot with that card again. Trying some OC of the Willamette, but seems 1.9 is the limit for that one. May try a 1.8 from the …

Nice score, you are catching up. :) Perhaps it would be possible to add microcode for Willamette to the BIOS for you DFI motherboard? I wouldn't know where to start to add the microcode. If it’s an Award BIOS, try “BIOS Patcher” from rom.by I did try BIOS Patcher. It didnt find anything to update.

Well i did the VID pin mod on the Shuttle. That got me 1.808v vs 1.712v before. Was able to get an extra 142MHz out of the CPU at 117FSB. Wasn't able to get the top score but I'm satisfied with it considering its a Shuttle SS51G with a SIS chipset. I have an Asus P4P800 Deluxe on the way. Ill see …

Pretty disappointed by the performance of this P4VM890 board. I don’t think the addition of PCIe can make up for the lacklustre chipset performance vs the Intel options. Apparently my ASUS P4T HP OEM version doesnt support the bios from the non OEM version. So, no overclocking.
