A bit late but for anyone else with a similar problem, in the regular DOSBox config: [joystick] timed=false Change "timed=true" to "timed=false" can also help with preventing the drifting.

Hi, does anyone by chance have that Shareware CD in the title? I remember it had quiet some gems on it, I still own Games Special 7 and 15 and on the internet you can find 1, 2, 3, 4, 9 and 11. But Games Special 8 I've had no luck in finding so far. Just as much as its game list would already help …

Depends what files they include. Games that come with an .iso or .bin/.cue file you can just burn onto a CD or Diskette and use that to play with. Games that only include the installed files may or may not work, as GoG seems to weirdly sometimes hide some files inside their own created containers, …

There is no such thing as too much thermal paste when it comes to having issues with the temperatures. Please check the mounting pressure of the heatsink and make sure you have enough thermal paste applied to cover the entire die/heatspreader.

Try to set a deadzone for the stick, it might just be tilted to the right a tiny bit which causes the game to detect that you are holding it to the right. With CTRL+F1 you can also enter the keymapper to configure the controller for DOSBox.

Just type in 1920x1000 for fullscreen, it'll be 1600x1000 in the middle with black bars around. Also works with 2560x1400 for 2560x1440 monitors and so on.
