I think you can also set these options on the fly in windows, e.g. have a batch file to set various SST variables then call your games exe... at least thats what i do with quake and quake2 😁

Antistatic bags of relevant size, using a piece of foam for cpus with pins Then they go into a cardboard box (laptop shipping boxes work great for mobos).

Try disabling any cache on the mobo Check for shorted pins on onboard chips (e.g. bent leg shorted to neighbor) There's no cache on this motherboard as it's a PII. Do you mean go into the BIOS and disable for the PII itself? I'll check again for any bent pins - it's possible I didn't look close …
