Creative does not even provide support or DOS drivers for the Audigy and Live! series of cards. It's been Windows only in the hardware world for quite some time now.

Bah, cheap software RAID controllers. If you run Linux don't think you can really get decent RAID on these boards. The chips are designed specifically to use Windows drivers to enable the RAID. So most the the RAID functions are done on the CPU. A real dual channel RAID controller that is all …

Seems odd the game can even see the USB joystick at all. Since the game is looking for the gameport which does not exist when using a USB device. I don't see anyone mention the Gravis Ultrasound. I never owned one, I was more partial to the AWE-64 Gold I had. But, I had friends at the time who could not stop telling me how awesome the card was. Hmmm. Any thoughts on that?

I stick with ebay for the games I need to rebuy. I was surprised how many games I lost over the years due to bad floppies / losing them when moving etc. I should have been more careful with them. On the bright side, it is fun to recollect some titles and play them again.

DOSbox is for those of us who played these games "back in the day". We still own copies of the games and want to play them on our new hardware. DOSbox is NOT for people who just want to pirate and get as many free games as they can.
