Could there be a problem with your floppy drive? Do you have any other bootable things you can try? A hdd with a OS on it perhaps? Or a gotek? Or a xt-ide with bootable cf on it?

Neither of those look like they have split core voltage, so would be limited to P54 (non-MMX) Good catch, I didn't even think about the split voltage thing. In that case, would either have to stick with a board that supports it natively, go with one of those powerleap things, or settle for a 200 …

Agp gfx cards seem to have more and cheaper options for faster models. Like radeon 7000-9000 series, geforce 2-4 series. Would be good bets. Well, the best one there is probably the mvp3 You could run your pentium 200 at 100mhz x2 and use agp cards. Your upgrade options for cpu are also easier compared to some of the onthers.

Probably safer to use it as is. Inspect it closely for damage, bent chip legs broken off smd stuff etc. Bending it back can be risky. Heat and time may do it for you. A trip through the oven on 150-200f might straighten it out. Physically bending it back I’d be wary.

One of the chips is a Pentium MMX 233, so plastic body. I might try the freezing method first and see how that works. Seems like it might be a quicker method than trying to use acetone. No prob. I don’t see the via holes that connect the two sides normally on those hp sticks. Those might be 144 pin. Actually they are 72pin and there are holes. Of course there are plenty of chips.
