That looks like resistance movement would be quite small indeed. Could not this also be accomplished with two pots in series? (Would give more range) though be more confusing for the user. Adjusting two dials at once.

Try using a chip programmer. If that doesn’t work, replace the chip.

When I install my cyrix FasMath it disables my 256kb of motherboard cache. Any ideas? Should I try turning on the weitek option in bios?

Hard to say. I imagine there are both camps. Maybe more for 3.3v though 😀 There wouldn’t really be another good way to over volt the cpu without over volting the whole system. So a interposer seems to be the go to.

Yeah, I have noticed quite a few times that the multi you wish to set ends up not being what is set. I’ve just resorted to playing with the bf jumpers until the right thing happens. Pentium/ mmx chips are really bad about this.

The pinouts on those cards and headers can sometimes vary. I have learned the hard way the best way to probe them is with a scope because hooking them up wrong can fry the ps2/usb controller
