The pinouts on those cards and headers can sometimes vary. I have learned the hard way the best way to probe them is with a scope because hooking them up wrong can fry the ps2/usb controller

There are isa and pci risers. Search isa riser Pci riser Making one is also possible. But a lot of non standard layouts exist.

Needs caps as close to the cpu power pins as possible with short high amperage connections. See the sxl2 interposer in my pcb projects for ideas The next version of mine I will try to add these. It was much easier on the sxl2.

Not sure how to set up your scope. Just start with the signal and see what frequencies are there. Try to solve them with the capacitors.

You will definitely need a heatsink. In general you can just try these on bf0/1 until bios reports 200mhz Bf0 bf1 1 2 1 2 2 3 1 2 1 2 2 3 2 3 2 3 Bf2 is usually used for speeds above 233mhz Your chip may or may not support that. I kinda doubt it.
