Isn´t used CPU a bit weak for GPU like GTS, GF2Ti or GF3? These cards IMHO needs something more powerful like PIII/Athlon/Duron. TNT2 (Pro, Ultra) would be better option in my eyes for this build, or maybe GF2 MX(400) and GF4MX440 128bit. Personally have similar build (only with K6-2 and Ali 5) …

Same here, PC Chips M590 and ATX form card (original, supplied with mobo) works flawless without any settings in the BIOS. AT or ATX supply - both have +5V rail that powers USB and PS/2.

OK,in that case, you either have to find out why the PS/2 port doesn't work - if the wire in the bracket is broken or the board is faulty and you won't find out without measuring it with a multimeter. The second option is to buy the serial mouse into the COM port if these are functional.
