Back when it was relevant, I would connect multiple disc drives as I got new ones but the old ones were still relevant. It wasn't uncommon to have more than one disk available at a time, maybe you wanted to leave a game's play disc in, keep one available for burning, and a third was your only DVD …

In general, you want faster/higher bandwidth/lower latency RAM. It all depends on how much you want to pay. Faster RAM w/low latency is where it gets expensive. I've nabbed another MISB Vortex 2. Unlike the last this one is completely sealed; so much so it is crushing the thinly constructed box. The seal has a couple of the 'Diamond' brand stamps inked onto the wrap along the bottom seams.
