Wow thanks for such detailed reply . Anyway I got stuck with cd rom , found that such ancient hardware doesn't support boot from cd rom and it makes things more complicated.

There is no need in geforce 4ti honestly as you will be limited heavily by cpu anyway. Even mx440 would be cut down by cpu .To get benefits from TI's you have to get at least Athlon 1700+ or pentium 4 2.4ghz. I'd recommend stick with mx 440 or get geforce 2mx

Well seems like audio card is issue .So if problem keep appearing after fresh win install you could try disable audio in bios . Also you could try try resolve resources conflict or use another card

The P3B-F is a High-End Slot 1 Mainboard with inofficial FSB133 support, so it's a shame to use a Katmai on this board... Well your questions is quite confusing. Issue with p2b might be because overclock , did you tried doing those things at stock speeds ?.As for videocard vram is matters but it depends what you want to play. And issues might be driver you are using or directX . It's many unknown unfortunately.

Okay, curiosity got the better of me and I dug out a couple trays of CPUs. With an E6300 in there, I haven't heard anymore of that cracking sound. Stuck an E7500 in there, same thing - no bad crackling noises. Neither of these trays have my 65nm quads in them. Of course still only half of the …

I’m going to assume you are not trying to use both DDR and DDR2 together, this board only lets you use one type of ram at a time. I don't think that guy who managed to find pins and use microscope would put ddr1 and ddr2 together. However previous owner could do that. To OP you could try another …

What exact settings you has changed? There is should be voltage , frequency and multiplier. I have same slocket and have no problems with p 3 900mhz .
