Re: Torin's Passage and King's Quest 7 Videos

in DOS
Is there even still a "full" core? The 0.74 conf shows "auto", "dynamic", "normal" and "simple". I would think that using "full" would result in core=auto. The crash is during the video test, which can be skipped. The actual error is a DOS/4GW "divide by zero" error, which can be avoided by lowering …

Re: DOSBox-X branch

I have not compiled it in a while, so I don't remember exactly what I had to do, but it wouldn't have been much more than things like correcting paths to a few libraries. Just pay attention to the output window to see where it fails.

Re: Non-Gaming Applications.

It is not that it can't run some applications, but it is not complete in terms of features that many applications need, like SHARE, or the ability to set/configure the CONFIG.SYS. Many things are missing on purpose speed or reducing unneeded complexity. There are liability reasons to discourage …

Re: DOSBox-X branch

Re: Freddy Pharkas

That is old and has not been updated. With anything like that, a 32-bit program accessing the %ProgramFiles% folder will be redirected to "Program Files (x86)" on x64 Windows. Besides, it is no longer relevant, so ignore it. It is an installer, not a patch. Just be sure that you have DOSBox …
