Re: not really a dosbox problem

in DOS
And the point of the matter is it was running on a windows 95 machine I don't need a new environment I need to know what I need to change in windows 95 to make an older dos program to run in it. Try editing a PIF for it to set what ever the program needs. If it refuses to run properly in Windows, …

Re: KQ6 problem

Then DOSBox itself is crashing, not the game. Try changing the conf to just: Copy code to clipboard 1 [cpu] 2 core= normal 3 cycles= 10000 4 5 [autoexec] 6 cls 7 mount c . 8 c: 9 cd \ 10 SIERRA.EXE .\RESOURCE.CFG 11 exit And see if it still crashes.

Re: KQ6 problem

The stderr.txt will probably be found in the game's folder or possibly in the Virtual Store. Did you try to remove the "exit" command in the game's conf file? If it is the game crashing instead of DOSBox itself, you should see any error messages.

Re: Command Issue

You could just use relative paths if this is to be something portable. In other words, if you have copy of DOSBox in a subdirectory of where the batch file is. This folder could be moved anywhere (i.e. something like a thumb drive) and still work as long as paths did not change below the parent …

Re: How many people actually use 1080p?

Any effect of lines between is just because the lines from the previous pass are starting to fade in comparison to the …

Re: Gabriel Knight 1 bad resolution

Actually, early 80's I said. Can't really remember the size, was too long ago. Was a color and svga though. Well GK1 was released in '93 and GK2 in 95, so the point holds, if you played the games when they came out, you would have seen them on the monitor you had in the early 90s. BTW, GK1 was one …

Re: Gabriel Knight 1 bad resolution

You'll have to accept the fact that these games are a couple of decades old. You are talking about an era when VESA was relatively new and VGA was still around. Many games were still trying to accommodate the many who still had older hardware. This is the reason that GK1 shipped with both a VESA and …

Re: 3D Ultra Pinball 2: Creep Night

And it's in Creep Night? This is the odd thing, that the option would be listed in the Creep Night settings, but the tracks are for the demo. Edit, I just tried the CG demo on Win7 and it does play the music. Looks like those tracks were never intended for Creep Night.

Re: 3D Ultra Pinball 2: Creep Night

No, it only has a single data track. You may be right about it being an unimplemented feature. As exofreeze notes, the two tracks sound the same, though are of slightly different lengths. This jungle music with the howling monkeys does not seem in character with the hunted house theme of the game. …
