Re: Mac Problem, Orrrr?

Dominus, I have an NSIS forum on my board that you should be able to see. If you don't, PM me. Also, since you didn't have enough posts to move you from the Newly Registered group, I moved you to the Regular Users group so you can post without needing to wait for approval.

Re: Mac Problem, Orrrr?

If we could get some good Mac conversions of my installers I'd be happy to host them on SHP. I could supply any information needed for setting up and configuring the games themselves. I also have all of the patches and can supply any configuration files.

Jorpho wrote: This "downloaded rom version" might already have everything decompressed, making install.exe redundant, but it's probably best not to speculate about such things. True, but I was purposely ignoring the abandonwarez version.

Re: Mac Problem, Orrrr?

Creating images is not a bad idea if you are unsure about a particular game, but no need for images for Gob3. The game's install disks have no label, no hidden "bad" sectors or any other extra needed information. Some games might have files named the same on different disks that would be overwritten …

Re: Mac Problem, Orrrr?

The problem with Gob3 floppy is that the resources are compressed and split across multiple disks. It needs to be installed before it will work with either ScummVM or DOSBox. You can get a USB floppy pretty cheaply. You could also try to find someone that has a floppy drive and transfer the files to …

So it is definitely a grey area, although it is different from the games thing. I certainly can appreciate the need for caution, but one big difference is that drivers …

Re: DOS games with a mt-32 in real mode dos

in DOS
Also try the MTBLAST driver from Quest Studios, that solved freezing in some Sierra games for me. Be careful about what games you use it for, though. If you use a driver for a game that it was not designed for it can cause the game to not start, give memory errors or be prone to infinitely looping …

Re: Embed DOS program in DOSBOX install

There is no "embedding". DOS games/applications are pretty much stand alone. They do not make or use any registry entries. As Qbix said, neither does DOSBox. Out side of Windows games, the only registry entries that my installers make is just for the uninstaller. I am not familiar with Inno, but it …

Re: Sierra's Sorcerian- bugs

Well you were right. No issue. I even tried to duplicate your setup. Switched to my MT-32, default dosbox.conf using your saves. My version is also 1.4. To eliminate as many variables as possible, try the new installer here: http://sierrahelp.com/Patches-Updates/NewSierraInstallers.html#Sorcerian If …
