The keyboard does not work for me after I load anything on two different XP machines. The TR install and the game's main executable will load, but I can not do anything. In 64bit Vista when I click Load Program and select SETUP.EXE or TOMB.EXE I get this:

VDos32 will launch in Vista 64, but errors out whenever you try to load anything. Also, I take it that you don't have any input developed for it. yet. The keyboards on two different PCs did not respond to TR.

Do you have the RESOURCE.AUD file? is your CD mounted? The "Energize" might be in the RESOURCE.SFX file instead of the RESOURCE.AUD file.

I don't see much point in storing the conf file anywhere but in either the game's folder or in a data base of all games. I would not mind if it stored one in both, but would want any shortcuts the frontend creates to use the one in game's folder. It might be nice if the GUI could scan a game's …

Trying to create a shortcut just crashes DBGL. Also, some options are not enabled, like overscan, even when using a build that supports it (ykhwong's)

How can I change the way the graphics are rendered and what not? Not to be a smart ass, but you can read the README to see these options. You may also want to consider using a front end. There are a couple linked to for OSX on the DOSBox homepage.

Apparently, they are going to be shipped with DOSBox. Take a look at the copyright disclaimer at the bottom of this page. I just hope that they manage to use the high res graphics of the Windows version of KQ6 working for this release.

I'll give it a try. Both of my machines are XP, one SP1 and the other SP2. Yup, found the problem to be with hyperthreaded systems and multicores OK, that explains it. Both are dualies, one an Opteron dual work station and the other a Core Duo laptop.

You have a pre 2 version of the game. Delete the SIERRAWS.EXE file from your installed folder and copy SIERRAW.EXE from the CD and rename it to SIERRAWS.EXE
