Well $750 is $750 and isnt an inconsiderable amount of money but as far as 4k upscalers go its cheap yes.

No, unfortunately the NIC does not work with the standard tulip/DEC21143 drivers. Neither with those bundled with Windows 2000 nor with the ones Intel supplied later, and not with some random other vendor's. Tyan Thunder S2567 or the Supermicro Super P3TDE6 are the top of the line for socket 370. Everything else is a step down or two from either of those two. In that case I should think the Precision 7710 would take Win7 as far as it will go on the laptop front. Im not sure if gen 7 was supported on Win7. Its not something Ive looked into. I only have 2 systems running Win7 now... Its not old enough to be interesting to me 😀

I have the drivers for the Quadro 66 and the ANA-62044 card, which I think is the 4 port version of your dual port card. They have a Windows 2000 driver.

Yes there is but its not like you can swap that out is it? I mean its sort of considered to be an integral part of that particular monitor isnt it? Its not a stand alone scaler like the ones that have been talked about... The Retrotink for instance.
