Depends on your computer. Try Ctrl+F12 first to see if it has any effect. The current value is displayed in the title bar.

Try to increase the cycles by pressing ctrl+F12 a few times or set cycles= to a value higher than 3000 in dosbox.conf.

The errors appear to be a part of the communications protocol. So if your application works correctly there is nothing to worry about.

You could check for impacts on the chip's pins that shorted them.

DOSBox's maximum memory is 64MB and it runs lots of games... 64MB were good to have with Windows NT and later back then.

72-pin SIMM = 32 bit data width Pentium -> 64 bit memory bus -> pairs 486 -> 32 bit -> no pairs required

Though sunlight certainly helps, i.e. in a computer room of a school these close to the window are more yellowed than the others further away.

The back side of the card would reveal if it uses DMA. Looks too primitive for that though.

Looks like you are passing the wrong base address to your driver. 300h is the default.
