Also note that you need to recalibrate the joystick in the game every time you change the timed= value.

There are two types of games - one counts the port reads until the axis bit flips. This type of games works with autocycles guessing when timed=false. The other type reads the port now and then, and looks at the system timer when the axis bit flips. These games need timed=true with cycles guessing …

This works like VMware and others, with an image file. The mounted paths will be inaccessible, so copy the game on the image. The hotkeys for changing cycles will still work.

You could try to boot MS-DOS in DOSBox too.

A line like this should show up in the Status Window: Copy code to clipboard 1 Using Network interface: 2 rpcap://\Device\NPF_{AC482C0B-4F3B-4603-82B0-7634E8745685} 3 (Network adapter 'VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter 4 on local host) If not, maybe you didn't install (Win)pcap.

It might have created an autoexec.bat file with paths in it. Execute it first.

Did it work for you before with the same configuration? If yes, have you tried reinstalling the game? If not, where did you get your Daggerfall copy? Did you install from within DOSBox? Do other games work?

You wouldn't buy it anymore because it costs $5.26 more than the competing product 😉 DOSBox can't set the refresh rate because SDL can't.
