The corruption also happens with EGA. I've also tried a 1989 mouse driver but it still happened.

On two different EGA cards both parts of the screen are rock solid and no funny flickering pixels at the bottom. I didn't try to reproduce the coruption as the input scheme of the game makes no sence to me at all.

Sounds like lowlevel floppy access which isn't supported in DOSBox. You could try to mount a floppy image. Needs copying to a real floppy then.

The emulated GUS is not complete and thus MEGAEM won't work even with VCPI. But DOSBox does not emulate Roland Sound Canvas or MT-32.

You could try to install the S3 Trio64v+ driver instead of the one recommended in the guides.

Trangression 2 needs some special kind of S3 card/DAC. I got closest with the S3 Vision 864 which only had corruption because it was set to 15bpp while the demo needed 16bpp. With a hacked DOSBox I go the result below. It only needs to be stretched. I could send you that DOSBox version...
