You need root access rights to get to the network interfaces. Or add yourself to the permissions somehow. And about the list please read the dosbox.conf comments...

Now it doesn't have so much in common with the original any more xD The cursor values are now more extensively checked for overflows. I think I'll skip the 16-bit one...

Trident isn't supported in DOSBox. For the other one I don't know what chipset hides behind the name, you could try if machine=et4000/et3000/pvga1a work. If possible post a list with the drivers the version 8.5 supports, maybe there is a compatible one among them.

I've worked some more on the patch, some of the cursor variables need to be limited in value. I'll probably provide a 8-bit and a 16-bit access version then somebody can test which one is faster. But not today as I'm forced to visit some relatives 😉

The DOSBox Status window is the console, not the main DOSBox window. If it can't find pcap there should be an error message in the status window. For Win3.11 you should use the NE2000 or NE2000 compatible drivers but you must boot it from a DOS image for the network to work.

The people on the pcap website should know about that - if you do a Google search there seems to be a pcap for Mac indeed. Don't expect too much though as I didn't test my patch on big endian computers.

At most it would break Win3.11, Win95 and whatvga 😉 (these work for me though) > If someone makes a .diff I could test it. The difference is only small, probably.

I doubt this has to do with it as it only changes the speed at which the joystick values are updated. Does it behave like that with all cores? Are there timer debug messages? Are the old changelogs availible somewhere?
