There's a fix for that too. Edit your dosbox config to use one of the output= options other than the default output=surface.

Nice! Have you had any issues running old DOS games on it? 3GHz is pretty fast. Too had the nVidia card is such a space-hog; it would have been cool to have the Voodoo2 still in there :p

I used a MIDISport Uno USB-MIDI device and it worked just fine until I tried to use it on a 64-bit Windows OS and found that MIDISport has been dragging their feet horribly for years on releasing 64-bit drivers! Hey, I think I have one of those Stealth 3D cards laying around in my parts toolbox! The purple sticker and the riser card with extra RAM chips jogged my memory. I think I salvaged it from somewhere and have never used it myself.

It might be fine since the motherboard does not have a VIA chipset, but my experience with K6-2 + VIA is that you will get abysmal performance and stability compared to an Intel PII or PIII CPU+chipset. It *will* probably be better than a P233 (especially non-MMX) though, and will probably be fine …

MESS is the counterpart of MAME. MAME emulates all sorts of arcade machines, while MESS emulates consoles and computers.

"'90s games" is quite a range. The most CPU intense games in 1990 barely required an Intel 386 CPU, while games released around 2000 were recommending Pentium MMX 200MHz or higher. CPU/Mobo: I would strongly recommend avoiding K6-2 series CPUs, although they may work for your application - …

I agree with Jorpho - I'm pretty sure I ran it from a Windows CMD prompt instead of from inside of DOSBox when I successfully used it.

What's interesting is that is has .CGA files for CGA, .EGA for EGA, something I can't remember for hercules (maybe .HGC?) and .JR for...Tandy? Seems like .JR should mean PCjr, but looking at the box shots on mobygames I don't see any mention of PCjr (although Tandy is mentioned).
