As DosFreak mentioned, You do also have to hit ctrl+f4 after swapping and mounting disks. This is because DOSBox caches everything and doesn't always automatically refresh the cache on a disk swap.

I wonder if it is checking the volume label? That would probably cause problems, and I don't know how to get around it. Maybe using images of the floppies would work?

Another thing to try if the filenames are different on all the disks is to copy them all into one directory on the hard drive and mount that to /mnt/floppy, then run the installer in DOSBox and see if the game has a problem installing from one big virtual floppy.

I'd vote for the umount command. The -u option does not share much code with the rest of the mount command, so it could easily be factored out. I would recommend installing from CD or ISO - you've almost definitely got a path or missing files problem. Maybe check your z.cfg and see if there are paths in there that need to be changed to point to the right place in your DOSBox mounting structure.

Sounds like either your ROMs are bad, or maybe something is wrong with your system (configuration, drivers, hardware, etc.)

I would suggest trying normal core (or dynamic or full if you're already using normal) Also, try unplugging your joystick (if you're using one) to see if that helps. Playing with DOSBox's memory emulation may also have an effect. Also, could your installation be corrupt?
