Is it a file on the CD that you're unable to execute, or is it after you install to the hard drive? Are you sure you're changing drives to the CD drive before trying to run the program? What is the exact sequence of commands that you're trying to use?

If you're telling the game to run at 800x600 and it works, then the game should be generating an 800x600 display. Of course you'll want to run DOSBox at at least 800x600 so that it doesn't compress the pixels into a blurry lower-resolution image.

Maybe you could install DOSBox permanently on all the machines and then have a BAT file that is called from the [autoexec] section of dosbox.conf that runs the installer from the CD, then deletes the directory when done?

I can't replicate it. Here's the procedure I tried: - Start recent CVS build of DOSBox (Windows XP) - Use imgmount to mount a CDROM ISO - Use the exit command to exit DOSBox - Open the Task Manager Didn't see dosbox.exe listed.

Can't think of a user workaround. There's almost certianly a coding fix though... Actually, you could try mounting the ISO with Daemon Tools or Alcohol. That would allow you to use the normal mount command inside of DOSBox.

1. Was disk 1 mounted as D when you installed? 2. I don't think DOSBox 0.60 had VESA support, so you might try disabling VESA in the game or using a CVS build of DOSBox 3. You might also try using DOS32A in place of DOS4GW

I don't think Snover minds, although it would probably be easier for people to find your stuff if you put it all on a little web page somewhere (that way people don't have to dig through the forum to try to find where you posted a file if they forgot where it was).
