I too have had an IBM 60GB GXP hard drive, and had it fail... I knew it was time to replace it when one day I tried to do defrag, and I got an error message saying that it was about time to replace it, since there were too many bad sectors for it too defrag, hehe. Fortunatly, I didn't loose anything …

Final Fantasy 7

in Windows
It's not a very old game, but... it doesn't run very well at all on latter OS's like 2000 or XP. In fact, multiple parts crash. There are a number of patches available here: http://www.eidosinteractive.com/support/search.html?gmid=44 But despite those, it still doesn't play all that well in OS's …

Re: DVD Games, where art thou?

in Windows
The problem is that, while there are many gamers on the bleeding edge of computing, there are many, many others that don't have/want/need/desire a DVD-ROM drive (for various reasons, including the millions that buy crappy computers from crappy OEMs (eg. HP) that cut off the price by using a CD …

in Milliways

Re: Glide Wrapper for Nvidia Cards!

in Milliways

Re: Glide Wrapper for Nvidia Cards!

in Milliways
zophar.net has some glide wrappers avialable for download: http://www.zophar.net/utilities/glidewrapper.html How does that wrapper compare to those? If it was released by 3dfx themselves, it'd probably be better, but it may not be designed to take advantage of all that it can, now...

Re: List of Slowdown Utilities (Beta)

I recently purchased Mo'Slo 4BIZ, and have tested it under Windows XP and VirtualPC 4.3 with DOS and WFW 3.11. Mo'Slo 4BIZ has two slowdown methods - the second one is supposed to be better for some video applications, but only works on Win 9x / Me. The second method, however, does work with DOS on …
