If all else fails, booting a DOS floppy image (with the BOOT command) will also get rid of drive Z and prevent the application from trying to look there, right?

I think his point was that if one has a Win9x only game with D3D or OGL, installing Win9x on one's computer is not an option if one's video card has no Win9x drivers. …

It is generally discouraged to run critical business applications in DOSBox, as it is primarily intended for games. But anyway, you will need the Megabuild for serial port passthrough.

And Fusion isn't necessarily very good for running Hexen, either. (I can't say for sure because it's certainly something I haven't tried, but I wouldn't count on it.) You will probably have an easier time fixing whatever is wrong with recording things through your sound card than you will getting Hexen Mac running under Fusion running under DOSBox.

Googling for .vox or brings up lots of hits. http://www.downloadatoz.com/file-extensions/v … -extension.html looks interesting, for instance. It is quite possible that "vox" in this case means something else entirely, but it is worth investigating.

As discussed in 4:3 Aspect Ratios and 16:9 monitors , if you don't have your widescreen monitor connected by a DVI cable, it cannot be (easily) done.
