Perhaps the fullresolution option overrode the fullfixed option? But is it (officially) possible to scale the image up the way I want, without blurry interpolation?

As I said, they scale to full screen, but they do so with an undesired interpolation. I just want the pixels to appear 4 times bigger, for example. Not smoothed out. I did not have to go to any trouble for it with 0.63.

I don't have direct draw, I'm using Linux. I only have surface, overlay, opengl and openglnb. None of them do what I want. OpenGL-nb comes close, but interpolates the resolution like a TFT screen does, the letters become all lumpy.

In dosbox 0.63, I was able to run fullscreen apps in a fixed resolution of 1024x768, without scaling issues (like blurring). Dosbox would just run in 1024x768 and put every app in full screen in it. But with 0.65, I can't seem to do that anymore. When I set it to 1024x768, I only get a small window …

I don't think it's that much of a problem to type "exit" when the game is done, but what you could do, is make a .bat file in the s2 dir which contains: s2.exe exit which you then call instead of s2.exe in the target line you posted above.

I tested it with a mixed mode CD. The CD player in Settlers 2 gave me a correct tracklist. BTW. Above, you mounted the CD with "-usecd 1". Does that mean you have the CD in your secondary cd drive? could you ask a dosbox developer if it does support cd audio? Anything I can ask, you can ask... But really, the solution I offered (playing them as MP3's in winamp or something) isn't such a bad idea.

What if you start the game with settlers2.exe, does it find the disc then? If not, try the volume name trick. BTW, I don't know if a CD drive is able to play music when mounted. I've never tried it in dosbox. I also don't have my cd audio output connected to the soundcard input, so that's gonna be …

It says is cannot find the disc, and won't start? Perhaps you should supply a volume name (the one of the real disc) when mounting. Mounting normally doesn't give the drive the proper volume name, if I remember correctly, and some games check for it to see if it's the right disc.

How does one configure that under Linux BTW? There are no COM[1,2,3,4], only /dev/ttyS[0,1,2,3]. Mustn't it be serial2 BTW? I mean, does dosbox simulate a mouse present on com1? If so, that port would be in use.

It may support the primary mouse as USB, because Settlers 2 just uses Windows' pointer. For the second mouse, you need native support in Settlers 2. have you managed to get 2 mice to work with this game? i only managed to get 2 mice moving the 1 curser... which doesnt help with multiplayer. Have you tried plugging in the mouse after Windows has booted? Or perhaps disable the extra mouse in the control panel, to avoid letting windows take it …
