Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Lode Runner 2 was apparently fixed between 2.53 and 2.54. Mega Man Legends.. always worked? Why did I think this was broken? Supports resolution forcing too: MEGAMAN 2017-12-08 21-45-21-24.jpg Outwars works fine, but mouse cursor is broken in menus in any "emulated" modes. Maybe worth navigating the …

Re: WIP versions

Not WIP related but I tried Lands of Lore II in PCem and got the same glitches. So Lands of Lore II's Direct3D renderer is just sort of bad. Your options are dealing with the Windows version (seams in 3D rendering edges, random bugs introduced by modern CPUs), the DOS version (have to deal with …

Re: Honour & Freedom (Juliet)

The game worked well with most 3D graphic cards before 2002, and ATI graphic cards before 2010. But it has mouse issues on almost all graphic cards these years. How did you figure this out? Did a lot of people test this with different graphic cards? I'm just wondering why you're so sure it's …

Re: WIP versions

Another game that needs MSD3DDeviceNames, Gunlok works perfectly with it. Resolution forcing too (has high resolution, but text does not scale): Filename Gunlok 2017-12-06 19-16-16-29.jpg File size 447.36 KiB Views 2943 views

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Gunners Heart, a SkyGunner inspired game works great with resolution forcing (minor text artifacts). By default it's a 640x480 only game. g_heart 2017-12-05 19-23-47-60.jpg Myth: The Fallen Lords' 3DFX render works, some artifacts with resolution forcing. No widescreen, which is only available in …

Re: WIP versions

ABout the debug version, does it Always save a log file for a game even when no errors are detected? Because I cannot find a log file or I don't know where it saves it. I put the 3 ms dlls and dgvoodoo.conf file in the game directory. You need to run DebugView (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/ …

Re: WIP versions

I didn't notice the MSD3DDeviceNames option earlier. Hundred Swords actually works with this option and resolution forcing works (and looks pretty great) too: H_SWORDS 2017-12-04 18-18-04-10.jpg Also don't know if you keep a list of problem games, but Shadow Watch was fixed in 2.53 (broken text in …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Question 1: can you use the default movement keys (I can't :| ) or rebind them somehow? Question 2: can you use the the mouse somehow? It's a brilliant game for.....20 years ago (!?!?!?!?) Keyboard controls work fine, mouse does nothing. The keys I rebind in the menu work for me too. But for the …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Nightmare Creatures works perfectly. Resolution forcing works too, but the game natively supports high resolution anyway. Though you probably need dgVoodoo2 to make that work anyway (without dgVoodoo2 it only reports 0x0 as the only available resolution). Question 1: can you use the default …

Re: WIP versions

Massive Assault - Phantom Renaissance does not crash when my monitor refresh rate is set to 120hz if enable DisableDefaultResolutions in dgVoodoo.conf, so that was definitely a resolution enumeration issue.

Re: WIP versions

Using the new DisableDefaultResolutions to tell Lands of Lore II the only supported resolution on my system is 640x400 is interesting. It just crashes whenever the Direct3D renderer is initialized. Which sort of confirms my suspicions that 640x400 wasn't implemented for the Direct3D renderer. …

Re: dgVoodoo anf The Chosen: Well of Souls

Yeah, I've tried myself. Neither the Gforce4, nor ATI setting works. Yep, the game looks good for on what it's built on! It has this issue with Vsync, however, where it locks the framerate to 30 fps when it dips below 60. One time you can play at 60 fps for a half hour, and suddenly it drops to 30 …

Re: dgVoodoo anf The Chosen: Well of Souls

Umm, how do I do that? Sorry, but this is kinda new to me... Run the exe in the dgVoodoo2 archive. Go to the DirectX tab and there should be a dropdown there with different graphic cards. I've already tried them though, but it doesn't hurt for you to verify since I can't remember for sure if I had …

Re: dgVoodoo anf The Chosen: Well of Souls

Thanks for the heads up, but using DDrawCompat only gives me a black screen with sound playing in the background with The Chosen :( Weird it worked for me and I tested it again now and it didn't. Then I closed Fraps and it did again. So maybe try closing any OSD applications/anything else using the …
