Re: Unlock Codes Lost on Shut Down

First we need to establish what it happening. How many different IDs are you getting, and under what circumstances? I don't understand when you say "apparently": you can run the Glidos server and click the GlidosID button to view it. Try that when on the net and off the net.

Re: Closing GLIDOS/TR

What version of Glidos? What are the actions that lead to the crash? If you exit TR via the ring menus in the normal way, and then click the close icon top right of the Glidos server window, there should be no problem. Later versions of Glidos should be fairly happy even if you kill the server with …

Re: Does Descent 1 3dfx work with GliDos?

I hadn't thought there was anything worth doing. It's a Windows executable so it isn't Glidos that you need. Its just the OpenGLide bit (GLide2x.dll). Craig made it work. On the other hand D1X works really well, so that's probably the best way to play it.

Re: Manual Resulution Management

I have a a Dell Inspiron. Lovely bit of kit. 1920x1200? Wow! Mine's 1600x1200. I'll have a think about that. Glidos doesn't handle non-four-by-three resolutions properly, but maybe it could. Also 1920x1200 isn't a defined Glide resolution, but OpenGLide could have it added, I guess. Don't worry …

Re: TR 1 and automatic install

And the message should be taken literally: you don't have to put your TR CD in drive H; any CD whatsoever will do. But, on the other hand, I think TR will refuse to play the CD audio unless the CD is in the lowest CD drive, so no gain there.

Re: Blood sound stutters and no music

It may be that your legacy support pipes the audio from DOS into Windows, and that Glidos is stealing CPU from it. Does Blood have any setting for audio buffer sizes? Fiddling in that area might help. The lagginess is mysterious too. I haven't tried Blood under W98 for ages. I'll have a look when I …

Re: Threads in Picture (nVidia)

Oh I see...The threads appear because of rounding error - the texture is probably supposed to end right at the edges of the polygons, but due to finite precision, it probably doesn't always turn out that way. Yes, but the game should set clamping mode rather than wrapping mode so that it doesn't …
