Re: Threads in Picture (nVidia)

That used to happen all that time because of a bug in Glidos, but I fixed that and I don't know why that setting should break it. When the process of texturing runs off the end of a texture there's two ways out: either go back to the beggining of the texture and repeat the whole thing again, or take …

Re: Running Tombraider 1 without CD?

There are two versions of the 3dfx Tomb.exe. One tries to drive the hardware directly (which you don't have), and the other uses the Glide2x.ovl file. Glidos works only with the latter. Your patched one is probably based on the former. For Tombub.exe there was only the second type. So you may do …

Re: Can't copy Glide2x.ovl

No, that's not OpenGLide; definitely a Glidos problem. Does it give an error message saying it can't? Is the Glide2x.ovl present in the Glidos folder. Could your glidos.ini file be pointing to the wrong folder?

Re: Blood sound stutters and no music

My Athlon 800 runs Blood via Glidos nice and smoothly, so I'd have thought your P3 600 was man enough for the job. Glidos doesn't get involved in the audio side at all under Windows 98 so it isn't compatiblility. Do you have nView enabled? That can cause an overhead on the WIndows side.

Re: Help with TR1

I think there are two separate problems there. I think TR isn't set up correctly for VDMSound, or perhaps VDMSound isn't installed correctly. I'd suggest reinstalling VDMSound, and reinstalling TR1 using the wizard (and select the VDMSound audio settings). THe black squares is almost certainly a …

Re: Blood sound stutters and no music

I'm very impressed by how much better the texture filtering is on Glidos than on the Voodoos. It is especially noticable on the text and signs in the game. Nice! At last! I'm glad someone likes it. That is the most sophisticated piece of code in Glidos. However I have a few issues. The sound …

Re: Small problem with Glidos and my computer

hummm, i first test when i am in internet connection and i think a special program i use (to show phone call) make this strange screen problem. I retry (i restart XP) and launch tomb with glidos and program launch normally but if i don't put the memory stick in drive E: there is no message now but …

Re: Small problem with Glidos and my computer

PS: Funny, Eidos official web site say that Tomb raider 1 is not compatible with XP and it's to Microsoft to found the solution :o You could send them an email about how you understand that it is financially unviable to update TR1, but why on earth do they not refer to the Glidos and Vogons sites …

Re: TR A Few Problems

Yeh the madly spinning menu is because your computer thinks it has a joystick when you haven't or thinks you haven't when you have. Go into the Control Panel and delete the any joysticks if there are any, or set one up if there aren't. With the audio issue: if you managed to get it working without …

Re: TR doesn't work with glidos

I think "Driver component mismatch" is the key. That isn't an error from Glidos, or one that Glidos can cause. It suggests that your graphics drivers aren't correctly installed. What version of the drivers are you using? Are they the ones provided by Windows or ones you have downloaded from nVidea?
