DUDE. You just bumped a thread that hadn't been posted in for ten years. I split off your post, but I am ticked off. DON'T DO THAT. [EDIT] In fact, the way you post to threads with only a sentence at a time, I highly suspect you're a spammer of some kind.

There's many DOS ones in MAME already. The first one that comes to mind is: http://www.progettoemma.net/index.php?lang=en&gioco=filetto Now I've seen it all. Yes, PC-compatible hardware (to the point where it boots DOS or Windows or Linux) in an arcade cabinet has a pretty lengthy history, though I'd argue that it didn't kick into high gear until the mid-late 90's. 😉

Re: Ultim@te Race - the arcade

Well, first someone like The Dumping Union needs to find the game :P But emulation of PowerVR Series2 PC-hardware will probably come someday anyways with or without this obscure (unreleased?) arcade port. Much like the POD Arcade page, we'll put info here as we find it. http://mamedev.emulab.it/ …

Here we have a little more info on the hardware, it was of the OpenArcade (PC Arcade) format: http://www.pure.com/de/press/january-1999/article_21987 http://www.sfgate.com/business/article/Arcades-Are-Battling-to-Get-Back-in-the-Game-2938256.php "Ultim@te Race utilises a customised PC system from …

Ultim@te Race - the arcade

Being of both VOGONS and MAME worlds, when I come across crossovers (typically PC hardware in arcade cabinets), I tend to find it kinda interesting. For an example, see my research into "POD Arcade": http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=36656 Today, I learned that there is an advertising flyer …
