I'd love to see a movie made about this but theirs probably no commercial viability in it, It was a great read. Well, that is a movie I'd watch, as opposed to the Doom movie. A TV movie done like "Pirates of Silicon Valley"? I'd watch it! :D But G4's about the only channel it could have aired on...

A x86 emulator test suite / emulator tester? I don't think one exists. I've seen them for 6502, 6809, 8080, 8085, Z80, 68K, PPC... I don't remember one for x86. Yes, of course I understand. I'd think more beneficial would be "what games REFUSE to run or CRASH if MMX is not present" which is why I suggested that. But you seem to be interested in "what games might see a performance boost if MMX is present" which is entirely different.

You guys could always pick apart the Mobygames lists for requiring MMX, 3DNow and SSE for errors. I remember someone involved with DOXBox development put together a list of DOS games they'd need to worry about for their CPU emulation. Can't remember where it got to though. Maybe I'll hunt it down in the forum search later.
