Fabien Sanglard takes on Strike Commander

in Milliways
For long-time readers, Fabien Sanglard needs no introduction as the man who wrote those MASSIVE source code reviews of Doom, Quake, Quake II, etc. His latest is on Strike Commander, where he reverse engineers the game in an attempt to add Oculus Rift support. http://fabiensanglard.net/reverse_ …

Re: The Wrapper Collection Project

Possibly off topic, I am curious about your thoughts on collecting wrappers for audio APIs, namely Creative Lab's ALchemy, ASUS's DirectSound 3D GX 2.0, Realtek's 3D SoundBack Beta and C-Media's Xear3D EX that restore support for DirectSound3D + EAX extensions hardware acceleration for games in …

Re: The Wrapper Collection Project

TitaniumGL has had another update or two recently. A Windows-only update in December, followed by updating all its ports to supported platforms in January. Uploaded (what I saw at least) to the FTP. For those who want to download it, please visit http://titaniumgl.tk

I don't mind them, but I hope they don't start taking precedence over normal text/screenshot tutorials. No offense to Mau1wurf1977 …

Re: Where were you when the world was DOOMed?

in Milliways
I don't remember how I got a hold of it. We did a bulk order of shareware floppies around then, it may have come from that. It may also have come from a fellow computer nerd at school. Or it may have been a download from Prodigy Online Service that I waited until early in the morning to download. …

Re: GNBNA MEL Fatal Error #10

Jorpho wrote: It might help if you told us that GNBNA refers to The Great Naval Battles Of North Atlantic. A long-ass time ago we had a thread where we noted what game name acronyms stood for, for those unfamiliar with them. Not sure where it got to, but this REALLY needs to go there. Never woulda …
